A Recollection of Experience Through the 8 Week Online Course

Jivan Abhiram recently took part in Mada’s 8 Week Online Course. Below, he shares about his past workshop experiences, and the impact he felt from the Online Course with Mada:

Jivan2My first group workshop experience was in 1980 at the Osho’s Ashram in Pune, India. Since then I continued participating in many therapy groups and trainings, and in the early 90’s began assisting in them. Eventually, I started leading therapy groups such as Mystic Rose, Born-Again and No-Mind.

After 15 year of absence from participating or offering groups, in 2013 I joined the 8 Week Healing into Consciousness Online Course with Mada. What a surprise it was! The energy transmission from Mada, and the group energy from other participants, was like being back in the Poona groups again.

The energy field created through this course has a lot of love and sharing at its core. Mada is like a Master Chef. She takes the ingredients from 40 years of group evolution that was happening around Osho and adds her own special touch with her unique and very practical self-healing Dalian Method (DM).

The highlight for each week is on Sundays when the group gets together online and receives individual guidance from Mada. During the call Mada answers personal questions then looks into each person’s energy and identifies the beliefs that are blocking in the body in each chakra. She then guides the group through the DM Chakra Clearing process to release and transform the unconscious fears and beliefs into freedom and power of consciousness. For the rest of the week participants continue working on their own using DM and an Osho active meditation for that week. They also read a chapter from Mada’s award-winning book, In Search of the Miraculous: Healing into Consciousness. There is also an online forum where participants are encouraged to share their experiences and comments and support each other.

My personal process of healing into consciousness through the 8 week on-line course with Mada brought the joy of new discoveries. The course helped me to discover layers of old beliefs repressed in my body and fully let go of things from the past that were still hiding in my body. It helped me to reconnect with my inner voice and trust it even more. I felt my consciousness expanded and my inner silence deepened.

This is the latest in therapy work, though it actually goes far beyond therapy!

Enjoy, for now is the time!

Jivan Abhiram

Follow Your Intuition, and Live Each Moment as if it’s Your Last

medInterview with Eliza Mada Dalian — a self-realized spiritual teacher — on what we can do to create a new way of living and being.

With all the calamities that have been occurring on the planet, what are the lessons that we can learn about life and ourselves?

Mada: Most of us take our life on this planet for granted. When something dramatic happens, it forces us to re-evaluate the reason we are here and why we do what we do. Calamities, illness and death are the greatest teachers and awakeners. They shake us up and take us out of our comfort zone and illusion of separation. Our struggles and hardships give us opportunities to grow and realize that life is a temporary gift for us to love, cherish, and be grateful for.

Unfortunately, because we are slow in learning this lesson, existence throws more challenges our way to help us wake up and re-evaluate the way we live our life. To me, the main lesson behind natural calamities and the crumbling global economy is to help us understand that life is a flux and nothing here is, or can ever be, permanent. These times in our human history are very special. They happen every twenty-five thousand years. We are again at a brink of a mass scale opportunity to wake up from our sleep. To do this, we must turn out attention inwards and find that part within us that is never born and can never die. All we have to do is shift our focus from outside to inside. If we start to look inside, and teach our children to do the same, we can avoid the hardships that calamities inevitably bring, and find true liberation in the opportunities that are coming our way.

Why are we so slow to learn that we must look inside for our happiness?

Mada:  Built into our nature are three basic qualities: adaptability, forgetfulness, and hope. Adaptability and hope help us to move on, no matter how difficult and tough things get. Sadly, we are not trained to stay alert and look at the lessons that different situations offer us. We quickly forget and fall back into our mechanical unconscious behavior patterns. Therefore, it is our responsibility to looking inside and contemplate over what each moment brings us and ask the fundamental questions: Who am I? Where do I come from? Where will I go after I die?

What are the opportunities that are available to us in the upcoming years?

Mada: In the time of global crises we are given many opportunities to look inside and awaken to our true reality. Through crises existence forces us to come out of our pattern of forgetfulness and evolve into greater consciousness. So all calamities are nothing but reminders. Because of our habitual pattern of forgetfulness, we seem to need repeated reminders to understand that we are only temporarily visiting this planet. The ups and downs of life teach us that anything can happen at any moment, so we can’t take things, people, our health, or life for granted. We must remember that our life here is an opportunity to learn, discover our gifts and talents, and contribute what we can to make this planet a better place for everyone.

Does this mean learning to live in the unknown?

Mada:  Absolutely. We must all learn to look at the unknown as a dear friend and be excited about welcoming it. If we are open and present to what each moment brings then what needs to happen through us will be effortlessly revealed. The changes that we are now experiencing globally bring our consciousness to new heights of understanding – to be in the present, in the now, is what life is all about.

What does it mean to be in the now?

Mada: We can only live and experience life in the Now. Being in the now means to understand that every moment is fresh and new. It means not to hold on to anything and to live in this newness. Every moment is different. To live in the now we must learn to let go of our desire to change what is. We must learn to let go of what came and went and transform our fear of the unknown. Living in the Now means saying ‘yes’ to whatever is happening, in this moment without holding on to the past or hoping for a desired outcome in the future. Every moment opens a new door. For example, if you are rejected in this moment maybe it is because you need to be by yourself, feel your emotions and pain, and understand the cause of your insecurities so that you can find your own inner light and strength.

What does spiritual awakening mean?

Mada:  Spiritual awakening means you understand that the journey is the goal. You full-heartedly accept what is and say yes to whatever life offers you. Spiritual awakening means you have discovered the silent presence of your being and know that you can never die. It means you have found your individuality and can follow your own inner truth without depending on other people’s approval or disapproval. You know that if someone criticizes you or doesn’t like you it does not disturb your inner peace because you understand that what is directed towards you has nothing to do with you but is only a reflection of their own inner state.

What’s the most important thing we can do for ourselves to help create a better life for our community and ourselves?

Mada:  First, begin by exploring and understanding yourself. Understand why you feel and act the way you do. Understand what causes your insecurity, pain and suffering, why you judge yourself and others, why you have a hard time to accept yourself and others. Once you understand these things, do what it takes to transform your unconscious beliefs and thought patterns into consciousness. Also, learn to follow your intuition. This means instead of following your mind and conditionings, follow your heart. Intuition is connected to your heart’s intelligence. Intuition is always spontaneous. The mind forever mulls things over and considers the pros and cons, while life slips by. Life is in the moment. It is always unpredictable. Following your intuition means being present in the moment and acting according to what the moment dictates. It means responding to whatever life brings you instead of reacting to it or trying to control situations or people. It means not being afraid to make mistakes and instead learning from your mistakes. It is time for us as humanity to learn a new way of thinking, being and living. We must learn to let go of all our fears and live every moment as if it’s our last!

5 Tips for Creating Harmonious Relationships

hands

Relationships are at the heart of most of our significant life experiences. They help to nurture our body and soul and teach us many important lessons. Relationships help us see and understand ourselves through the eyes of the other and experience love, compassion, forgiveness, and gratitude. Below are five tips that will help you learn some of your important life-lessons and create harmonious relationships:

1. Love and accept yourself as you are

Instead of searching for someone else to fill your needs and inner emptiness, turn your attention inwards and try to understand what is missing inside you that you cannot give to yourself. To start with, begin working on healing your childhood wounds and start loving and accepting yourself as you are. Ask yourself: What is missing inside me that I need to get from a man or a woman? Why do I think I cannot be happy unless I receive unconditional love and acceptance from others? Why can I not give myself what I need from others? Then, create a five day solo retreat for yourself. Take time to be alone. Look inside. Contemplate over your needs and wants. Meditate, go for walks in nature, dance, and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Give to yourself what you usually look to receive from others.

2. Never blame or judge others for how you feel

No one likes to be judged or criticized. When we blame or judge others for how we feel we inevitably also judge and blame ourselves. Instead of blaming others, look inside and ask yourself: Why am I being triggered by what he or she said? Why am I blaming him or her for how I feel? What is this person or situation teaching me about myself? Pay attention to how others reflect back what you need to see about yourself. Try to understand what you are being shown about yourself and what lessons you need to learn. Remind yourself that other people are wonderful mirrors to help you see your unconscious thought patterns and grow.

3. Be honest with yourself and others

Honesty is an absolute must if we want to have harmonious, intimate and loving relationships. For this reason, don’t be afraid to fully express how you feel and what you think. Don’t compromise your inner truth and don’t manipulate. Be honest with people no matter what the consequences. This will not only help you feel good about yourself but will also encourage others to open their heart and connect with you in a way that will allow you both to grow.

4. Live every moment as if it is your last

Life is a flux with constant ups and downs. Nothing in life is permanent. Everything in nature constantly changes. Flowers bloom, release their fragrance, and they are gone. A child is born, lives his or her lifespan, and dies. To live and enjoy life fully we must learn to let go of every lived moment and welcome the next. When you experience moments of happiness, don’t try to hold on to them. Don’t think that by letting go of the lived moments you’ll be losing something. Observe your habits of wanting things to be permanent and learn to trust that life is abundant and will bring other beautiful moments for you to enjoy.

5. Treat life’s
 challenges as opportunities

Every relationship offers us many opportunities to learn and to grow. We often miss these opportunities by staying attached to our ego and its desires. Observe your beliefs about how life or other people should be and behave and welcome every challenging situation as an opportunity to learn, grow, and expand your consciousness.

How to Create a Harmonious Relationship

My girlfriend and I go back and forth from having peace and love in our relationship to getting into huge hurricane-like arguments. We’ve always worked our way through the arguments and kept going with the relationship on the assumption that we’re working towards ending the conflict for good and just having the love. Yet if we really look at our past, we have no evidence that there will ever be an end to the conflict because conflict keeps happening over and over again, no matter how much better we get at maintaining the love. Are we working towards a fantasy? Can two people ever achieve peace and harmony in a relationship?

Most relationships eventually end in a conflict, or as a result of conflict, because one or the other partner has not taken responsibility for their own feelings and thoughts that the relationship is mirroring. If the relationship withstands the many seasons of purification, it naturally can grow into a stronger bond. However, to expect conflict to end is a hope created by the mind, which wants to reach a certain goal. If you drop your need to always be right, or to want the conflict to end, and instead look inside to see what the conflict is showing you about your own ego-mind, you can move from your head into your heart, and surrendering to love will happen naturally. Drop your need to have no conflict and accept the conflict just as you accept the love. If you accept one but deny the other, you are in trouble. You either accept both or drop both.

Each relationship has a history of unlived and unfinished business from this or previous lives that needs to be completed. Conflict provides the opportunity for issues to come to the surface so they can be seen, dealt with, and completed. Conflict helps us grow and evolve. It’s rare to have a relationship without any conflict. Every disagreement wakes us up and tells us when we’ve dozed off from the truth of our heart. Usually, when you are in your thoughts and focused on your own needs and desires, you miss seeing what is happening within your partner. So you get a wake-up call through a conflict to remind you to return to your heart. Unless both of you are alert and present in your heart, your minds are bound to clash because you both need to be awoken to the present.

If you are present, even disharmony is harmony because you aren’t trying to fix something or someone. Instead, you are keeping your focus on what you are learning. So there is no problem in disagreements or arguments if you keep your heart open and continue learning. What’s most important is that you don’t blame the other but look inside and become aware of your own unconscious. Everyone is a complex universe, and if you aren’t doing your inner work, you won’t see your own lessons within the relationship.

Generally, people don’t see their own lessons within the relationship because they remain focused on blaming or trying to change the other instead of looking inside and becoming more conscious of themselves. Unless you find your own truth, you will remain insecure and eventually suffocate yourself and your partner. For a relationship to last, both partners need to commit to being honest with each other, take responsibility for their own growth, and give each other space to grow.

Embracing the Light

In January 1990, a few days after Osho’s death, I had a vision. I was within a boundless cosmic darkness, waiting for something to happen. Suddenly, there appeared a small ball of light shining brightly in the darkness. The Light was like the Sun, illuminating the surrounding darkness and giving life to everything in its sphere. The energy of Light was the collective consciousness of all the enlightened beings that had, at one time, lived on the planet Earth. They were now united as one source of energy, light, and consciousness.

The energy of Darkness was the energy of all the unconsciousness within the universe, including the unconsciousness of all humans living on the planet Earth. Light was aware of Darkness and conscious of itself, and Darkness was aware of Light but it was unconscious of itself. Darkness was threatened by Light and thought that Light was its enemy. Light knew it was once part of Darkness and wanted Darkness to know that they were not separate. Darkness, however, was afraid of Light’s power to expose things hidden in the darkness.

Feeling threatened by Light, Darkness tried to suppress it in order to maintain control and rule the Earth. The Light, attempting to grow in size and brightness, was patiently waiting for other beings to awaken and join in its endless celebration of Joy. Suddenly, within seconds, many small light streams emerged out of Darkness and at the speed of light began entering into the ball of Light from all directions. As the light of each awakened being merged with the collective Light of the Awakened Ones, it lost its separate identity as an “I” and became one with the collective consciousness of Light. Light quickly grew in size and strength.

Then, all movement stopped just as suddenly as it had begun, and everything came to a standstill. Light, though visibly smaller compared to the Darkness that prevailed on the planet Earth, was now as powerful as Darkness. A question stood hanging in the air: Who would win the battle and tip the scale, to determine how humanity would live for the next 2,500 years? Who would rule life on Earth? Would it be the creative and compassionate consciousness of Light or the destructive unconsciousness of Darkness? Darkness struggled to maintain its power, while Light, with its now greater size and strength, almost forcibly pulled one more light stream out of Darkness. As this last light stream entered the Light, it tipped the scale of power and Light became victorious.

This vision filled my heart with joy. Deep in my soul I knew that in spite of the much-talked about coming doomsday that the unconscious powers are preparing for, the Light will overcome Darkness and humanity will enter the Enlightened Era of greater consciousness – a consciousness that cares for all fellow humans, the Planet and all its creatures. Although it may seem like life on Earth is becoming grimmer, I believe, as do many others, that the foundation of our collective consciousness is strong, and the new dawn of a more aware and loving humanity is just around the corner.

Every one of us can make a difference in our common future by courageously transforming the unconscious darkness of our own ego-mind into consciousness. Conscious people don’t create wars – they strive for unity. Only consciousness can help us live in peace, freedom, love, and brotherhood, and make this planet a better place for ourselves and the generations to come.

I hope this book is an invitation and a supportive guide in your journey from Darkness into Light.

A Message from Mada about Dec 21 2012

Dear friends,

I hope this note finds you healthy and happy!

Whenever I set out to write something it always comes as an inspiration. I trust that the inspiration comes from the source that we are all a part of and thus in some way or other will also inspire and benefit you.

Many people have been asking me what I think about the “end of the world” as predicted by the Mayans. I know that many people who are aware that something Big is predicted to happen on December 21, 2012 have been preparing in some way or other to make it a meaningful day.

All my life I have lived trusting my intuition and inner knowingness and acting upon it. This is how existence has always spoken to me and always speaks to everyone when we are silent and listen.

As I write to you from Mexico, the original home of the Mayans, here is what my inner knower is telling me:
— December 21st 2012 will be just another day, though significant as the Winter Solstice. All you can do is live each day consciously in the present, enjoying every moment the heavens offer you! Having said this, I can also feel the power of people’s thoughts and how simply by thinking things can be manifested.

I feel, however, something dramatic will definitely happen in 2013 and it will come as a surprise to all of us. Existence is compassionate. It wants and waits for everyone to wake up! Awakening always happens as a surprise when the mind least expects it. When we expect something with our mind we remain identified with it and thus miss being fully present. In the present is where awakening always happens. Awakening is a gift from the universe and can never be predicted.

Why am I writing this? Simply to remind you to be present in the Here and Now no matter what! This moment is the only place that is real. This moment is all we have, because within it is where you will find eternal life.

In the epilogue of my book In Search of the Miraculous: Healing into Consciousness I have shared a vision I had in 1990. It is the light of those who have and are transforming into consciousness that will save this planet and its inhabitants, and will help to transform the way we live our life on the planet. For those of you who already have the book, I invite you to read the epilogue there. For those of you who do not have the book, I will share it with you in my next email.

So don’t worry about the end of the world, just live today and every day fully and stay in your heart – a place where we all meet and feel at home!

Have a wonderful today, tomorrow, and every day!

Happy holidays with love and abundant blessings,

Mada

Seeing the World with New Eyes

With Eliza Mada Dalian’s upcoming Self-Healing Workshops in Minneapolis and Chicago soon approaching, Kari Hietanen shares on The Sheila Show what inspired her to host a Healing into Consciousness Workshop in her home town:

“Wow! I just started working with Mada last winter and the shifts in awareness that have already happened have been life-changing! I just knew I should sign-up for Mada’s 8 Week Healing into Consciousness Online Course when I came across her work last fall. I’m so happy I did because it’s lead me down the path of discovering repressed beliefs about myself and the world that prevent me from living life fully. This spring I attended Mada’s 10 Day Intensive with my partner as well as participated in Mada’s 8 Week Online Course, both of which have been transformational beyond words!

I’ve been on what I thought was a spiritual path seeking for many, many years and reading numerous books on consciousness, and Mada pointed me in a direction that I didn’t see, which was basically inward. She has helped me bring some very unconscious layers to the surface. I’ve been working through those now and it’s like I’m seeing the world with new eyes. I also have an awareness in my body, especially the lower chakras, that I have never experienced before. It’s AMAZING!

Because Mada has had such an impact on my life I’ve asked her to please visit us in Minneapolis because there are a lot of people who would love to experience her work! I hope you join me in giving yourself the eternal gift of healing and discovering who you really are!”

Clean your Toilet with Joy

Cleaning is an essential part of spirituality. Cleaning a floor or your toilet, washing your clothes or your dishes humbles the ego. It cleans your etheric body of many accumulated thoughts and emotions. Cleaning can help you experience No-Mind in the Here and Now. Clean with care and enjoy feeling the space that opens inside and outside. Clean with joy, so you can discover the joy of creativity that is within your being. This joy is not separate from Joy that permeates the whole of existence.

Insightful, inspirational, and practical book for experienced seekers

As one can easily see from my profile, for many years I have been drawn to read books related to spirituality and personal growth. I’ve always found that the ideal book for me to read at a particular time has come across my path at precisely that time. I definitely found this to be the case with “In Search of the Miraculous” as well. This truly is a wonderful book, as it delves deeply into the elusive subject of “enlightenment” in extensive detail, uniquely combining insightful, inspiring, and thought-provoking content with practical “how-to” suggestions.

The author authentically shares her life experiences and philosophy without coming across as some guru who has it all figured out. The book is very well-written and smartly organized, and makes for very interesting reading. It is ideally suited for people who have been on the path of spiritual growth for many years, as there are some intensive metaphysical concepts addressed within it that may be a bit too far out on the curve for newcomers to that path. If you are an experienced “seeker,” I feel very confident that you’’ll find solid value in this work. Here’s one of my favorite passages from it:

“Your fear is a blessing. It is giving you an opportunity to disidentify from your mind and learn to trust the unknown. The mind can never trust or surrender. Trust always happens through intelligence and consciousness. The mind always asks for guarantees, but life never offers any. Life unfolds moment to moment, and each moment arises as a result of the moment that was surrendered before it. Life is a surprise that always arises out of the unknown. You can either embrace the unknown and live it fully and joyously, or resist it and live in pain, fear, and struggle.”

~ Jeff Maziarek, author of Spirituality Simplified

Supporting Children to Recognize their Inner Truth

Dear Friends,

One of the inspiring aspects of my work is seeing how parents, who are working on their own transformation, pass on what they’ve learned to their children. Supporting children to grow without the heavy conditionings and repressions means that their children will not have to go through the same difficult process of getting back to their inner peace and purity as they did. To eliminate pain and suffering on the planet for the generations that come after us we must start to lay the right foundation for our children. By teaching children early on how to find their inner strength and center we can contribute in creating heart-centered living and joyful beings who will celebrate and enjoy life instead of destroy it through wars and ignorance.

Here is a story of a beautiful mother who passed on components of the self-healing Dalian Method she learned during the Healing into Consciousness 8 Week Online Course to her six year old son. With her permission I am happy to share it with you in this newsletter.

This morning my young son of 6 years woke up tired and grumpy. He has a cold sore on his mouth and was feeling very self conscious. I asked him if he felt bad about himself? He nodded. I decided to try the Dalian Method exercise that we had been working with on the online course…Afterward, he immediately proceeded to get down off the chair and sat crossed legged on the floor, holding the tips of his index finger and thumb together and closed his eyes. I was filled with such love and awe. I have never taught him anything like this before. He then looked up at me and said “I am peace sitting”!!!! :-o
I asked him how he knew this, he replied “I don’t know”. W O W – W O W – W O W

I was soooo touched, my heart filled with so much love and gratitude. It was seen so clearly how we have simply forgotten who we really are. Covered up with layer upon layer of who we are not. I was also filled with so much gratitude to Mada and my Being for receiving this in my life to pass on to others. ~ Tara

Much love and blessings to all!
